News Release - April 1, 2003 HEMPFIELD AND TAYLOR ALLDERDICE GIRLS' BASKETBALL COACHES SELECTED FOR ANNUAL SERVICE AWARD Bob Gallagher, President of the Western Pennsylvania Youth Basketball Club, Inc. is pleased to announce that the recipients of the annual Don Barth Coaches Recognition Award for Outstanding Service to the Club and to the basketball community will be presented to Gene Brisbane, Girls Basketball Coach at Hempfield High School, and to Janet Davis, Girls Basketball Coach at Taylor Allderdice High School, on April 13, 2003 at half-time of the 4:00 game of the Eat'n Park Pennsylvania Girls High School Roundball Classic. They are outstanding coaches, who devote significant time to assist their players to learn the lessons of life on the court and in the classroom. We are delighted to present this award and we are very appreciative of their valued support to our Club and the girls' basketball community. Don Barth was the former coach of North Catholic and the most successful girls' basketball coach in Pennsylvania history. The Club presents an annual coaches award in his name.
