 The Western Pennsylvania Youth Basketball Club, Inc. was formed in 1990 to recognize our outstanding area athletes through six projects: the Pennsylvania Hoops, the Annual High School Girls Hall of Fame Banquet, the Annual Eat'n'Park Pennsylvania High School Girls Roundball Classic, the Tri-State Invitational Girls Basketball Showcases, the Pennsylvania Scouting Service, and our Award Program. We highlight players so they may be offered college scholarships and opportunities to play with the best. Even though we were establishedin 1990, we have been fortunate enough to see our efforts rewarded. In order to continue our work and to be able to improve upon it we need your help. Your support can help us achieve the dreams of many talented young women. Again, a major part of our Club's mission is to help these talented fernale athletes receive college scholarships, which often amount to $50,000 over four years. For many young women, a scholarship is the only option available for furthering their education. With your help, we can help more of these talented girls attend college, earn a degree, and begin a career instead of having their potential stunted and opportunities lost because of an inability to meet the rising expense of a college education. We believe that generating enough recognition will help the girls be rewarded for their hard work and talent with college scholarships. We are kicking off our fundraising drive for this year. Our campaign slogan is "Join in the Hoopla - Support Girls Basketball." We are trying to raise $25,000 in order to assist in funding our events. If 100 people contribute just $250, then we will have reached our goal. Each contributor becomes a member of the Girls Roundball Diamond Club.
